WildStar: The No Underpants Movement
Currently the WildStar forums are full of protests from players on any number of topics ranging from the state of the Stalker to crafting concerns. I could go over those issues, and trust me, I could rant for some time about crafting. Personally though I’m going to let those issues mature with the game for another month or so and then revisit them.
I will however post about something that not only gives me pause but cracks me up at the same time. I’m not sure how many folks have seen this but there is a forum post (here) where fans are protesting having the tighty whitie style underpants on the Chua and goldish colored underpants for the Mechari.
Many are wondering why these two races really need underpants at all. One is covered in fur and the other is mechanical.
I suppose however that people might want to make sure that everyone in the Empire maintains certain standards of ‘decency.’ On that note though, why do we have to maintain decency with such a lack of style?
As my guild member Grizrant asked, why not let us choose what kind of underpants we want to wear? I mean let’s face it, the tightie whities aren’t super attractive. No offense to my little guy here, or gal, I refuse to ask, I respect it’s privacy.
Regardless, why not let us choose the underpant adornment?
Why not a blazing red speedo for a Mechari?
Who wouldn’t pay to see a Chua with a handlebar mustache running around in an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini? Now try getting that image out of your head!
Granted it probably won’t happen any time soon if such customization were added to the game. There are a lot of other much more important features we’d all like to see in the game, (guild housing). Thing is though this could be a neat little feature that goes along with the “fussy pants” customization desires that some of us WildStar fans have when it comes to character design.
What’s your take on it? Do these races require under-accessories at all? If so what about customization? I’d love to hear what folks have to say on it.
